I'm just getting started with SQL Reporting Services and I'm currently in the web interface of the Report Manager. I want to set up a 'Shared Connection' to make it easier for multiple reports to consume the same data.
From everything I've been reading about reporting services there should be a number of data source types available including SQL Server and ODBC among others.
When I select 'New Data Source' the only option available in the 'Data Source Type' drop down is SQL Server. What I need to know is how to enable ODBC as a Data Source Type.
As a side note when I'm in the report designer, if I choose to embed the connection I have a wide range of Data Source Types available.
