It's a sucky solution because having to tell people "hey, turn off X feature from your AV" sounds very shady.
I also understand how "help me stop Norton from flagging my clean code as malicious" sounds a lot like "help me trick Norton into thinking my malicious code is clean" - but I don't know what else to do. The solution has to be in the code, so I'd like to know how else I can call this process without Norton freaking out.
No answer there and I like to mention that the main issue I had was having Norton remove an older Norton program called Norton Commander which I still use to this day as Windows Explorer is not so great for my needs.
I have seen similar behavior with other antivirus software so its across the board.
