Is there a syntax that will allow me to exclude certain columns versus explicitly stating every column that I want?

Thanks for your response, I would like to suggest if you are doing this for handy purpose try dynamic queries with sys.tables and sys.columns combinations. Your suggestion is superb and Microsoft should work on this.
