Error occured in deployment step 'Add Solution': Error: Cannot add the specified assembly to the global assembly cache

Try deploying it to the WebApplication instead of GAC


Just change the deployment target to WebApplication in the additional assemblies.


Does that solve your problem. Is there any specific reason why you would want to deploy it to the GAC?
