Sharepoint 2010

Hi All,

I am new to Sharepoint and coding. However, i need to build an Online Assessment Engine on a hosted Sharepoint site. Here is a brief about the environment

1. The Sharepoint site is on a server hosted by our IT department. We have no control on the server or its interface.

2. We can control only the site collection that we have ordered through IE or we have the liberty to use tools like Sharepoint designer and InfoPath.

About the Assessment engine. Here is the idea we are looking to work on .

• We have a sharepoint custom list, where an InfoPath form has been deployed for trainers to contribute objective questions. (There would be a huge pool of questions)


• Now we want a front end form or page(hosted on the same server), which would pull one question at a time from that Custom list and display it to the user(who is taking the test). (Upon clicking 'Next", it should advance to the next question)


• The questions need to be chosen based on a pre-selected criteria or group (Ex: if the user is from business unit "A", he should only get business unit "A" related questions and so on..)


• The test would need to have a timer and should auto close displaying the result at the end of the test completion.

We had seen a similar model before However, the person who had developed this is no longer with us and is not willing to give any information.

Could anyone guide/help on how to go about the form/ building the test engine please.
