Workflow on Calendar Series

Hi,

is it possible to run a workflow on a calendar series? When I try this the workflow runs only on the first event. Is there somehow an improvement in SharePoint 2013 or any work around.

My Scenario is as follows: We have a room bookings calendar and I want to notify the creator of the bookins 48h ahead and force them the acknowledge the booking. It works fine with single events but not with a series.
