According to your description, you want to improve the performance of report with subreports. Right?
In Reporting Services, the usage of subreport will impact the report performance, because the report server processes each instance of a subreport as a separate report. So the best way is avoid using subreport by using LookUp , MultiLookUp , LookUpSet, which will bridge different data sources. In this scenario, we suggest you cache the report with subreport.
