Change CSS for visited Announcement item

Hello all,

I have a standard Announcement Web Part, placed on a site. Standard View (Title and date modified). I use also the default 'Launch forms in a dialog' option. What I want to achieve is that the announcement items I visited will get another colour. Normally I modify the CSS (.visited), but for the Announcement Web Part this is not working.

Any ideas?
