How do document permissions differ from its document library and a content roll-up webpart?

Now we're getting somewhere ;)

So, yes, it's a computer setting issue and has nothing to do with SP directly. Here's what I'd check:

1. Make sure they're using only Internet Explorer 32-bit version.

2. Make sure the site is added to their trusted sites.

We'll start with that and continue down the yellow brick road if necessary...
