Updating a Lookup Column with a SharePoint Designer 2010 Workflow

Hi,

I understand that you want to set a lookup field value using the variable which stores the item ID from another list. When setting the variable, you need to notice that in the Find list item section, you need to select Current Item: Transfer Complete. Here you need to change the return type to Lookup value(as text) instead of as String. Then you can get the ID and store it in the variable. You can set a field in current item to get the value of the variable to see whether you have successfully get the ID.
