How do document permissions differ from its document library and a content roll-up webpart?

Just to be clear, have you logged into SharePoint using your SP account on their computer? This is important, because if your SharePoint account doesn't work on their computer, you know it's a problem with their computer settings, otherwise it's an issue with SP. This is a good way to narrow down the problem.
