Please don't bump pre-release posts for new requests. There are several ways for a control to do custom rendering that weren't available when this thread was fresh. In particular, Xaml/DirectX interop allows a large amount of flexibility to create custom rendered controls.
If this isn't sufficient then you can post or vote on feature requests for the Windows Platform on the Windows Dev Platform Feedback site at http://ift.tt/1gnjt70 .
Please include any compelling scenarios which the feature will enable in your post.
