SSRS - Make a section header for a group to save horizontal space

In your detail row, right-click on an individual cell and find the add row group area. Make sure it's Row Group and not Column Group here if you're in a tablix)

When you create the parent group you will have the option of adding a header row. Once created you can format it to fit your needs.
