Sort ListView Items in Column - Doesn't work?

I've looked at so many examples of how to do this but none work. For example, every example tells me to add a "ListViewColumnSorter", but VS tells me that doesn't exist - I don't know what to put at the top, where "using" is, to make it work. I'm just so confused as to why every example tells me to do this but no example tells me what to put at the top. Also, many examples tell me convert a ListViewItemComparer to an IComparer, which VS says you can't do - again, why would every example tell me to do something that doesn't work? That's what makes me so confused.
